The Ima Square Bill has the ability to go shallow and crash cover as
hard as you can. On a medium retrieve, it wobbles and will want to hunt
left or right, working itself back to the center triggering bites. It
runs shallower than some other crankbaits of this genre, diving 3 feet
on 12lb line and 2 feet on 15lb test. You can burn it over grass or in
the shallowest water possible by upsizing to 20lb and it’ll still
maintain its hunting action. waking it on top or twitching it like a
jerkbait are also effective methods. BASS Elite Angler, Bill Lowen, says
“it’s really three or four baits in one. My favorite is to mix it ALL up
on a single retrieve, going from twitching to waking, to reeling it down
